No Dominion: The Ian Horvath Story is a documentary film currently in pre-production that will take a look at the founder of the Cleveland Ballet—a dancer and choreographer named Ian Horvath who succumbed to AIDS in the '80s. He was an inspirational figure, but one who has since fallen into obscurity, based largely on a lack of historical chronicling, which this film seeks to rectify.

The project currently consists of fundraising materials, but will soon include a website and eventually, a movie poster and DVD cover.

I chose this photo of Ian and its position and scale to portray how small he must have felt in the face of his adversity, but how he remained strong and joyous in spite of his condition. The transitional grid used suggests the motion of dance, and the purple hue was chosen to evoke Ian's gentle soul.
